Leica launches pint-sized smart antenna, Zeno FLX100

By on 10 November, 2020

Leica Geosystems has announced the newest member of its Zeno mobile field data collection suite, a handheld, centimetre-accurate GNSS antenna.

Leica’s tiny new Zeno FLX1000 is intended to partner with the Zeno mobile app or Zeno Tab 2 tablet as a handheld capture system, but can also be used with other capture apps via the Zeno Connect interface, and mounted on a pole for higher accuracy.

The device measures 136 x 78 x 30mm, and weighs in at 313 grams, with a battery life over 20 hours, IP67 dust and water protection, and drop resistance up to 1.2m, according to Leica.

Whilst further details are fairly thin on the ground, the launch continues a trend of increasing flexibility and modularity of field components, facilitating their use in systems composed of different brands.

Pricing and availability has not been formally announced, but it is anticipated to be available in Australia by the end of 2020, and will be available through Australian distributors for Leica Geosystems, CR Kennedy.
