India’s Geospatial Media has announced an expansion of its editorial operations as it seeks to ‘mainstream geospatial’.

Based in Noida, India, the Geospatial Media team has been covering and promoting the geospatial industry since 1997.

In a welcome bucking of the current trends in media globally, especially in the grip of a global pandemic, the masthead has announced an expansion of its editorial team and diversification of its products.

In a statement announcing the news, Editori-at-large Anusuya Datta writes: ‘Today, the world stands witness to how the coronavirus has contributed to the mainstreaming of geospatial data and technology — taking maps, apps and dashboards to households. However, a lot more needs to be done to advance the role of geospatial in the global economy and society.

With this objective, Geospatial Media and Communications has scaled up its media operations through fresh recruitments and new products.’

Congratulations to Geospatial Media from the team at Spatial Source.
