GeoEye Financial Results to March 2010

GeoEye Inc has reported total revenues of $80.4 million for the first quarter of 2010. This is a 77.8 per cent increase on the same period last year. More than $54 million, about 67 per cent, was related to contracts with the US government, the company’s largest customer. This represents an increase of 89.3 per cent on last year.
 
Net income for the period was $0.8 million, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million for the same quarter in 2009. Domestic revenues for the quarter were $59.8 million. This included $37.1 million from agreements with the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
 
International revenues were $20.6 million – 25.6 per cent of total revenues for the period.
 
The company expects fiscal 2010 revenue of between $310 million and $320 million.
