Google and e-GEOS

By on 25 May, 2010

E-GEOS has become a Google enterprise imagery partner in Italy. The company is a subsidiary set up by the Telespazio Group and the Italian Space Agency. It will develop and distribute geospatial solutions based on Google Earth Enterprise (GEE) technology.

E-GEOS is the exclusive distributor of the COSMO-SkyMed radar satellite constellation. Its clients will now have access to the SkyMed images via GEE technology. The platform also ensures optimum access to the company’s resource library which includes high-resolution optical satellite images, aerial photographs and digital maps.

Google Enterprise applications manager Sanjay Patel said in a press statement: “The partnership with e-GEOS represents an important step for us in providing a clear endorsement of the professional version of Google Earth technology in Italy.”
