Geoscience Australia has announced that it intends to establish a Positioning Advisory Panel, comprising representatives from industry, academia and government.

According to Geoscience Australia (GA), the panel will support the delivery of an “effective and impactful” Positioning Australia program and the benefits it brings to the community.

GA also says the Advisory Panel will support it in “fostering a thriving and resilient PNT ecosystem in Australia,” a subject that is of great concern at the moment.

Finally, the Panel will be an opportunity to “strengthen links and governance between industry, academic and government stakeholders on matters related to PNT”.

GA is running an expression of interest process to identify panel members. That process will close on 1 June 2025.

More information about the Panel and details of how to register an interest in participating, can be found here.
