Find UK Launches Online Service

By on 13 May, 2010

The UK online mapping website Find has launched a service that enables users to order Land Registry documents via a map interface.

The system is designed for commercial organisations. It uses maps instead of exact addresses to determine land ownership, according to the company. Users select a map location, zoom into the area of interest, and then highlight a specific area to search. No address details are needed. The site then displays Land Registry Title Registers and Title Plans, which can be ordered individually or in bulk.

For properties with no postal address or known ownership, the site allows users to define a search area directly on an Ordnance Survey map, and send it to Land Registry. The service was developed using Land Registry data.
