The 2015 Australian Esri User Conference (Ozri) is set to celebrate the evolution of GIS throughout the decades and explore how the technology is being used for new applications and in non-traditional industries. Encompassing the theme of ‘GIS generations’, the three-day conference will feature local and international presenters from 2 – 4 September at Melbourne’s Sofitel Hotel.

Organisers have announced the addition of Eric Wittner, Esri 3D Product Manager, who will share his international expertise on building cities of the future in 3D. Wittner joins a line-up of presentations by global GIS specialists as well as a host of local case studies from government agencies, councils and commercial organisations.

Insider tips on using the Esri software suite will also be revealed during five technical streams, covering: mapping and analysis; all things apps; development and systems implementation; real-time and 3D technology; and, design and innovation.

The Ozri gala dinner also returns this year with entertainment from Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock frontman, Ross Wilson.
