CRCSI industry development workshop

Preceding ISDE7, CRCSI is holding an industry development workshop in Perth on the 22nd August.
 
Get a preview into the CRCSI Industry Development Program and contribute to future initiatives.
 
Listen and discuss with industry expert John van Genderen about China – a spatial perspective on emergent research, government and user markets and how to access those markets.
 
Meet Arpad Barabas from Canadian research and industry organisation Tecterra – learn about planned Australian industry outreach activities.
 
Explore international links and opportunities in China and Canada.
 
Outcomes:
China: Improved understanding of the pitfalls, opportunities and strategic approaches to successfully setting up business enterprises and accessing the China market place.
Understanding and improved awareness of the Chinese geospatial sector, including industry, government and research perspectives.
 
Canada: Introduction to Canadian geospatial industry development activities and research initiatives through Tecterra.
The aim is to attract Canadian enterprises to the CRCSI Annual Conference in May 2012 to explore business links, particularly with 43pl companies. A return visit by 43pl companies is envisaged after that.
 
CRCSI: High level preview of the CRCSI Spatial Innovation and Industry Development Initiative and discussion.
