Australians have been over-represented in the winners of Pitney-Bowes Li360 collaboration community mapping contest.
Four of the eight winners were Australiam selected by both the community in a ‘People’s Choice’ category, and by Pitney Bowes judges for cartographic composition and analytic insight.
While the winners all used Pitney Bowes tools, the Li360 community is not only restricted to clients.
Clarence Hempfield, Vice President of Location Intelligence Solutions at Pitney Bowes said he was highly impressed with the calibre of the winning entries.
“We had many superb submissions that truly embodied the idea of Location Intelligence,” he said. “It was inspiring to see both the social and business outcomes our clients and Li360 users are achieving.”
Thiru Ponnusamy, a MapInfo Pro user and winner from Queensland, Australia, commented on the contest: “I hope this becomes an annual event so we can showcase our best work and learn from others. Fantastic efforts by the organizers and congrats to everyone who showcased their work. My personal favorites are the Noosa Bat Map and the Map Replica Tool.”
