The New Zealand Esri User Conference 2013, taking place at SKYCITY, Auckland, on 19-21 August, is the largest annual gathering of the New Zealand GIS community. Registrations are now open for this event, with an early bird discount available until July 19.

85% of the 530 GIS professionals who attended the Esri Asia Pacific User Conference in November 2012 were from within New Zealand, representing 30 industries and more than 300 organisations.

The conference will focus on the latest developments that Esri has made in the rapidly expanding spatial technology sector. The uptake of cloud services, the convergence of location analytics with business intelligence and the delivery of information to mobile devices, has expanded the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) across organisations for decisions that impact the environment, communities and business success.

Positioned to follow the Esri International User Conference (San Diego, July 2013), where more than 15,000 GIS Professionals congregate each year, the NZ Esri UC is a must-attend event for the local GIS community to hear first-hand from Esri and its NZ distributor, Eagle, about the strategic direction and technical advances in GIS for 2013 and beyond.
