Next week’s webinar will canvass ways in which open geospatial standards can strengthen disaster preparedness and climate resilience across the Pacific.
The upcoming webinar, titled ‘Disaster and Climate Resilience: The Value of Open Geospatial Standards’ will be hosted by the Pacific GIS and Remote Sensing Council and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).
The online discussion will led by Harsha Madiraju, Associate Director – Member Services & Development with the OGC.
The session will introduce OGC’s Climate and Disaster Resilience Pilot initiatives and explore how open standards and interoperable geospatial technologies can improve data sharing, collaboration and informed decision-making.
Specifically, how can open geospatial standards strengthen disaster preparedness and climate resilience across the Pacific?
With Pacific Island countries facing increasing climate-related hazards, this webinar offers a valuable opportunity to discover practical approaches to strengthening disaster risk management and climate adaptation.
