The abstract submission deadline for Spatial Information Day is rapidly approaching.
Geospatial industry professionals who want to have their work considered for inclusion in the program have until 5 June to submit their proposals.
Successful proposers will be notified by 19 June, with the author registration deadline following on 30 June.
The organisers are seeking tales of innovative applications across the entire spectrum of geospatial endeavours, such as GIS, BIM, remote sensing, all kinds of surveying, photogrammetry and so on.
The event itself is coming up on 7 August and will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Spatial Information Day has been going for more than 20 years, bringing together participants from across government, business, academia and the not-for-profit sectors. This year, it is expected to attract around 400 delegates, 40 speakers and 15 exhibitors.
The organisers have recently announced two of the keynote speakers.
The first is Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk, Chief Digital Officer for SA Power Networks and Enerven. Dr Balan-Vnuk leads the organisations’ digital strategy, and previously was the South Australian Government’s Chief Information Officer. She’s also founder and direct of HerTechPath, a non-profit organisation that promotes STEM careers for women and girls.

The other speaker announced is Nick Hassam, co-founder and Head of Catastrophe Modelling Products at Reask, a climate risk technology company that uses AI in natural hazard modelling. Hassam has spent more than 25 years applying spatial solutions across Australian, Asia-Pacific, UK and European markets.
Finally, delegate registration is already open, with an early bird discount of $100 on offer until 30 June.
