Space sector organisations from NSW and WA are being invited to set up exhibits within the respective states’ trade pavilions at the International Astronautical Congress, to be held from 30 September to 3 October this year.

The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is cited as being the world’s largest and most influential space conference, attracting up to 10,000 delegates from government, the private sector, research and academia.

The IAC will be hosted by the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA), alongside the Australian Space Agency and NSW Government, with the event’s theme to be Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth.

“With IACs having been held in the Southern Hemisphere only five times out of the last 75 years, we have an incredible opportunity to showcase not only our Australian space ecosystem, but also our regional, Indo-Pacific space ecosystem to the rest of the world,” said Lisa Vitaris, Director IAC 2025 Sydney at the SIAA.

Each state is offering different exhibition packages. NSW, for instance, has options ranging from simple brand exposure from $550, to a dedicated ‘pod’ with room for two organisational representatives in the trade pavilion for $1,650.

“Attending the International Astronautical Congress as part of the WA Government’s delegation is a fantastic opportunity for our local space sector organisations to showcase their innovation and activities to the international space sector,” said Western Australia’s Science and Innovation Minister, Stephen Dawson.

“Growing the local space sector will have enormous benefit for WA, leading to more innovations to improve environmental and community outcomes, and boost productivity.”
