SimActive speeds up stockpile measurement

By on 9 March, 2020

The Canadian firm introduces a new volumetric calculation workflow to its popular Correlator3D photogrammetry tool.

The new feature gives users of the suite the ability to automatically calculate multiple volumes from imagery within the same project, and output discrete reports for each.

For areas regularly flown and image, the new capability facilitates measuring changes in stored volumes over time, and can also be used to precisely track topographic variation, according to material released by the firm.

“Facilitating volume calculation reduces the associated costs for our clients”, said Louis Simard, CTO at SimActive.

“Our new workflow is thus a definite advantage for users in multiple industries, including mining, forestry and construction.”
