Closing 1 April: Q16020; Port of Hay Point – Sustainable Sediment Management Assessment for Navigational Maintenance. North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation Limited.

NQBP have commenced work on a long-term strategic assessment for ongoing management of marine sediments at the Port of Hay Point, known as the Port of Hay Point – Sustainable Sediment Management (SSM) Assessment for Navigational Maintenance (‘The SSM Project’). To build on this work and assist in evaluating and contextualising sediment management options, NQBP would like to understand what feasible options, if any, exist at the Port of Hay Point to manage sedimentation in key Port infrastructure areas (departure path, apron area and berth pockets) and avoid or minimise the future need for maintenance dredging. An assessment of both engineered and technological solutions to address this issue is requested.
