NAVAID in Western Australia and Laser & Survey Supplies in Queensland will distribute Feima’s SLAM200 Series.

NAVAID, a provider of positioning, surveying and measurement solutions, has been appointed the authorised Western Australia distributor for Feima Robotics‘ flagship SLAM (simultaneous localisation and mapping) scanning technology.

This includes the SLAM200 series handheld LiDAR systems and the compact Pocket 3D scanner.

According to Feima, its SLAM range is designed to eliminate the constraints of traditional survey methods and GPS-denied environments, and provide rapid, high-density 3D data capture for complex subterranean mines, forests, complex infrastructure and indoor facilities.

“Western Australia’s resource and construction industries demand spatial solutions that don’t compromise on speed, safety, or accuracy,” said John Keely, managing director of NAVAID.

“Feima Robotics’ SLAM scanners are a true leap forward. Bringing the SLAM200 series and Pocket 3D to WA allows us to offer our clients unprecedented mapping efficiency in environments where traditional GPS-based surveying falls short.”

Similarly, Far North Queensland-based Laser & Survey Supplies has been appointed as an authorised distributor for Queensland.

“From North Queensland’s rugged terrain and mining corridors to Southeast Queensland’s rapid infrastructure developments, spatial professionals need fast, reliable, and versatile data capture tools,” said James Robinson, director of Laser & Survey Supplies.

“The SLAM200 series and Pocket 3D set a new standard for performance, affordability, and ease of use in mobile mapping.”

As Spatial Source reported in June, Skypxl – Ai has been appointed Australian master dealer for Feima Robotics’ line of SLAM 3D scanners.
