Trimble’s next-generation R10 touches down

By on 4 September, 2018

Trimble has launched the next generation of its top-of-the-line GNSS receiver, the R10.

The R10 Model 2 builds upon the core technologies of the current model R10: HD-GNSS processing engine, SurePoint tilt compensation, Centerpoint RTK support and Trimbe’s xFill RTK backup service to cover GNSS outages.

The R10 Model 2 brings a considerable list of enhancements to the platform.

The newest generation locks down 672 GNSS channels, covering GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, QZSS, IRNSS and the full range of SBAS.

Trimble says that improved power management offers 33 percent more operating time in the field, and memory capacity has been enlarged to six gigabytes.

The platform supports Android and iOS operating systems for BYOD (Bring your own device) operating environments, and Trimble says that reliability against interference and spoofed signals has been improved.

Olivier Casabianca, director of global marketing for Trimble Geospatial, said that the R10 Model 2 has an important place in the firm’s new range of surveying tools.

“These improvements ensure the Trimble R10 remains one of the most current and relevant GNSS survey solutions on the market today,” he said.

“By providing a powerful rover system such as the R10 Model 2, TSC7 controller and Access 2018 field software, Trimble continues its legacy of unmatched GNSS expertise and knowledge to advance the capabilities of surveyors around the world.”
