Over recent years, the department has undergone a number of significant changes which have contributed to an environment of fragmented business processes and numerous ICT systems. Many of these systems have been developed in-house since the 1990s, and are costly to maintain and are considered legacy in nature. TMR is seeking a suitable Implementation Partner with a solution to provide an Asset Management System that aligns with industry best practice. It will be engaging with industry through a multi-stage tender process to select a Partner and solution. The TIAMS Project team expects to brief the market in December, details to be advised.

DFES is seeking an integrated bushfire risk management system. Following bushfires early in 2011, an enquiry was held to examine all aspects of bushfire risk management in the Perth Hills area. Among the recommendations was a review of software applications that would support the new Bushfire Risk Management Planning framework. The anticipated outcome of this procurement process is a contract for the supply, implementation and support of a fully-featured BRMS Solution. The solution will be hosted externally to DFES.
