1 November: 0255-01-RFI; IT Solution to support a National Monitoring System; Ministry for the Environment, NZ.
The Ministry is currently exploring how resource management information can be better collected and shared. As part of this process, it is seeking information on potential solutions that will enable its outcomes for electronic information collection, sharing and analysis to be achieved. Ultimately, it seeks development and implementation of a solution to support a national monitoring system for the NZ Resource Management Act 1991. The project includes monitoring the implementation of the Act, including assessing how its various functions, tools and processes are performing, which is critical to helping understand whether the RMA is working as intended and what changes might be necessary to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.

5 November: RIA2113; Condition Assessment; Rottnest Island Authority, WA.
Tenders are sought for this project for condition assessment of RIA accommodation buildings. The contractor will undertake an inspection of the specified buildings within the specified timeframe to:

  • Capture data to complete the RIA’s templates (excel spreadsheet format);
  • Electronically collect data with pre populated fields, photographic and GPS capability which can produce an electronic spreadsheet based reporting output;
  • Reconcile building asset lists and where necessary breakdown building assets into constituent buildings or add building assets where necessary; and
  • Collect and assess condition criteria, remaining asset life and performance criteria to support RIA’s asset management practices in accordance with Guidelines.

6 November: T8540; Stormwater and Flood Mitigation Feasibility Study; Parks Victoria.
Parks Victoria seeks tenders for a comprehensive feasibility study for the potential diversion, treatment and reuse of additional stormwater from surrounding catchments to Albert Park Lake. The study will also seek to understand the potential to alter flood risk and improve water quality outcomes.

7 November: 2013083; Track Geometry Recording Services; Public Transport Authority, WA.
Tenders are sought for supply of a mechanised Narrow Gauge Track Recording Vehicle to measure and record the PTA infrastructure using non-contact recording systems within the urban rail network.  The service covers the detection of track geometry defects, infrastructure registering and recording in a number of sections of railway.

8 November: DNRM1317; Prequalified Supply Arrangement, Water Industry Contractors and Consultants; Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Qld.
The Queensland government is seeking to establish the above arrangement. It is anticipated that this PqSA will involve a number of categories that will be released over time subject to identified areas of demand across the Sector. Water environmental condition assessment is the first category to be released.

12 November: RFQ2013-264; Laser System; Department of Defence – DSRG [Aust].
Tenders are sought for a laser system suitable for Particle Image Velocimetry. PIV will be used to assess the (off-body) flow characteristics around a model of a submarine in wind tunnel facilities and will also be used as the principle tool to validate Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations.
