24 October: DP103513; Central Regions Land Supply and Infrastructure Analysis; Department of Planning, WA. DoP is seeking tenders for the preparation of the CRLSIA for the Mid West, Gascoyne and Goldfields-Esperance regions.  It will be a broad analysis of existing and future land supply, and an investigation into infrastructure capacity and requirements to service potential demand for town sites in the regions. The background research is largely intended to be a desktop review that develops a broad understanding of the three regions and their future. The project will include:
•        An inception meeting and preparation of a project outline paper;
•        Background research and preparation of a working paper;
•        Consultation with local governments;
•        Consultation with agencies and service providers; and
•        Preparation of maps, spreadsheets and a report.

24 October: ACPN_12992; Asset and Cross Section Survey; Auckland Council, NZ. The Council recently began updating the stormwater modelling and flood hazard mapping for the Meadowbank catchment. A review of data availability and data quality assessment of stormwater features and assets identified issues with the existing data which would not support a reliable hydraulic model of the existing drainage system. Council invites tenders for the provision of field surveys for storm water hydraulic modelling for the catchment. It seeks to obtain sufficiently detailed information from suppliers to enable it to select and appoint a party (or parties) to provide the services, which include:

  • Obtaining permission from residents and landowners for survey on private land;
  • Cross section survey of streams and open channels;
  • Survey of stormwater assets, e.g. manholes, pipes, inlets and outlets;
  • Survey of watercourse crossings, e.g. culverts and bridges; and
  • Topographical survey of ponds including inlet and outlet structures

4 November: NDIC REOI 13/711; National DNA Investigative Capability; CrimTrac [Aust].  To enable CrimTrac’s law enforcement partners to better utilise leading-edge DNA technologies, it proposes to enhance its current offerings by implementing a NDIC platform. The purpose of the request for information is to explore, design and implement a national ICT solution for a kinship and familial DNA matching capability that will facilitate enhanced searching and analysis of DNA across state and territory borders.
