Teledyne Technologies’s subsidiaries, Teledyne CARIS and Teledyne Optech, have recently welcomed Daniel Kruimel as Regional Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Kruimel joined Teledyne CARIS in 2011 as a Technical Support Consultant. Kruimel played an imperative role in implementing CARIS software alternatives across APAC region. He later joined AAM in 2013 and managed projects with the 3D National Map Initiative of the Singapore government including a 5,500 km mobile mapping study and a combination of aerial imaging and LiDAR study in the harsh airspace of Singapore.

Andy Hoggarth, Director of Sales and Business Development – Teledyne CARIS, said, “I am extremely pleased to welcome Dan back to the group. His experience in both the hydrographic and LiDAR industry brings a unique skillset to our combined team. He was instrumental in key account success for CARIS in the past and his more recent experience with both airborne and mobile mapping will help to identify new opportunities and strengthen our position as industry leaders in the market.”

Teledyne Optech has also recently announced the availability of its new LiDAR sensor, CL-90, with its integration partner LiDAR USA.

The sensor comes with canopy penetration for fuller ground coverage, higher downward point density for better results in corridor/power line projects. It also features in-class data precision for tight-tolerance applications, which makes it ideal for LiDAR USA’s dynamic capabilities..

Jeff Fagerman, LiDAR USA CEO, said, “Our customers face many challenging projects and they need tools that can deliver. Whether it’s greater range, more accuracy, or better penetration of vegetation, using the new Optech CL-90 gives us the means of providing the tool to get the job done.”
