The SSSC Conference Series is unique in that it attempts to cover topics of immediate importance to the surveying and spatial industry including: land surveying, engineering & mining surveying, cartography, hydrography, remote sensing, and GIS and spatial information.

LiDAR and UAV – both separately and as a combined force – loom large in the program. Next Generation Datum – its impact and its benefits to our industry – will be the subject of learned discussion and debate.

Case studies will reveal the importance of GIS Analysis & Mapping in the planning and implementation of diverse programs, from health budgets, to water management, to emergency recovery. Great advancements in mapping, modelling, the Cloud, Web and Mobile Apps will be highlighted to support our “take away” aim.

For more information on the many sessions, download the conference program here [pdf].

The SSSC 2013 conference will run from 15-19 April at National Convention Centre in Canberra. For more information and registration, visit www.sssc2013.org.
