The Now in its fourth year, spatial@gov  continues to highlight how location information and capabilities are assisting governments develop location-based policies and deliver location specific services to its citizens.

spatial@gov 2012 program addresses future directions of government policy and spatial innovations.

The Strategy theme explores the policy settings needed to ensure governments incorporate location-based business intelligence to support better informed policy and planning decisions, and more efficient service delivery to Australian and New Zealand citizens. The Innovation theme looks at emerging and future trends, and how governments can work with the commercial and research sectors to drive innovation in the spatial sector.

This year spatial@gov brings together leading experts to share real-world spatial sector experience, discuss the current status in spatial information policy and standards development, and to explore the future of global positioning networks. Hear how the application of location technologies is driving innovation across all industries, from transport and logistics, to agriculture and infrastructure.

The commercial sector plays an important role in providing government spatial products and services, and a technical exhibition of more than 30 exhibitors showcasing their products and services will complement the conference program.
