Position Partners continues as Australian Distributor for Gatewing

National precision solutions company Position Partners will continue as the Australian Distributor of Gatewing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. Gatewing, based in Gent, Belgium, was recently acquired by global positioning equipment manufacturer Trimble, as reported in Spatal Source last week.

Gatewing’s solutions include the X100 UAV and Stretchout post processing software, designed to provide high accuracy photogrammetry and digital terrain maps for survey and mapping applications.

“Position Partners will continue to service the needs of the Australian market with the sale and support of Gatewing UAV products,” said Garry MacPhail, Survey Manager at Position Partners.

“The ownership of the Gatewing company may have changed, but this will have no impact on our customers who can look to Position Partners for all their aerial mapping and high precision survey needs.”

Maarten Vandenbroucke, Gatewing CEO, added: “There is no immediate change to our agreement with Position Partners as the Australian distributor for Gatewing aerial mapping solutions.

“Position Partners has supported the Gatewing X100 system since its launch and their national team of experienced survey specialists is well suited to cater for the needs of the Australian market.”

Position Partners was one of the first companies to become a distributor of the Gatewing X100 UAV system in early 2011.
