NovAtel IMU-LCI

By on 25 May, 2010
NovAtel’s latest release in its GNSS/INS SPAN family contains a Northrop Grumman sensor. The IMU-LCI provides the low noise and stability required for precise positioning and attitude, says the manufacturer.

The IMU-LCI is a tactical-grade IMU with fibre-optic gyros and micro-mechanical accelerometers. According to NovAtel, both gyros and accelerometers operate with minimum noise and are highly stable. This makes the sensor suitable for airborne and ground survey applications.

The company has also introduced five new models in its L1OEMStar receiver card product line, and four new products for the OEMStar supported FlexPak-G2 enclosure range.

Four new DGPS models support the transmission of DGPS code corrections. They are available in GPS and GPS plus Glonass versions supporting 1Hz and 10Hz data rates. Users are able to develop low cost base station applications for transmitting DGPS code corrections. The products are also available in the new FlexPak-G2 enclosure for users seeking a rugged integrated solution.

The new OEMStar right angle RF connector variant is suitable for users who have tighter space restrictions within their product design. The connector allows the antenna cable to be plugged into the side of the card, reducing overall integration height.
