GeoRabble, that spontaneous and open forum for geo-geeks the nation over, is preparing something special for the upcoming Geosmart Asia ’18 – Locate ’18 mega-conference in Adelaide.

This special gathering will be focused on ‘GeoCareers’, will feature presenters from a variety of stages in their careers to talk about the wins and the losses, the victories and defeats, why they started and continue to stay in the spatial industry.

The afternoon will take the form of a panel session, where a fine bunch of surveying and spatial professionals will discuss their careers, mentors and mentoring, the institutions and committees, and the future! Participants are invited to come take part and ask questions of the panel, and to grab a drink and a bite to eat at the same time.

The panel will be chaired by Mina Jahanshahi, Senior Advisor in Location Intelligence at GHD, and will feature:

  • Mary Ellen Feeney, Asia Pacific B&I Technical Director GIS at Jacobs
  • Stephanie Pradier, Communications Manager at CRC for Spatial Information
  • Roshni Sharma, GIS Analyst at EMM Consulting and SSSI YP National Chair

Attending GeoRabble is free, but the organisers have asked attendees to register in advance for catering purposes, which you can do here.

Rabblers are welcome to come early and attend the Locate Market Day as well, which is open from 10AM. Learn more at the full program for Geosmart Asia ’18 – Locate ’18.
