Bookings are open for GITA 2014 – the 19th Annual Geospatial Solutions Conference – to be held on Monday 25 August 2014.
Antoine Burdett, GITA ANZ president and conference chairman said that the conference theme is “GITA 2020 Where Do We Want to Be?, and will focus on current and future challenges, enabling delegates to gain valuable insights into upcoming technologies and solutions that will help meet and address those challenges.
“The format for this year’s conference has also changed to a full day, single stream event focussing on current and relevant issues, as well as networking and collaboration.”
Confirmed keynote presenters include: Judy Anderson, president of Smart Grid Australia; and Helen Owens, assistant secretary, Spatial Policy Australian Government, Department of Communications.
Andrew Grant, general manager Goldenfields Water, Chris Turnbull, technical director and national practice leader for strategic asset management from AECOM, Dr Go Urakawa from GITA Japan and Bruce Douglas, Corporate GIS and GITA BOSSI representative will also be presenting at GITA 2014.
Antoine Burdett also said that “we are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with SSSI and SIBA, our afternoon panel discussion will be facilitated by Talbot Brooks, GITA North America, and the topic is: “Ability for Education to meet Professional Credential requirements.” Panel members include: Craig Williams, GITA ANZ Director; Kellee Ireland from SIBA; and Professor John Trinder from SSSI.
This year’s conference registration fee includes session attendance, refreshments, delegate lunch, and the 2014 GITA ANZ Gala dinner and awards.
Early bird Registrations are open until 31 July 2014 then standard fees apply.
