International experts to descend on Ozri

World-leading Geographic Information System (GIS) developer Esri has confirmed they are sending an array of senior technical personnel to Australia to present exclusively at Ozri 2012 – including Solutions Engineer for 3D GIS and GeoDesign Eric Wittner; Imagery Manager Peter Becker; and Map, Chart, Data Production and SDI Manager Mark Cygan. 
 
Eric Wittner: As the Solutions Engineer for 3D technology and GeoDesign at Esri, the world-leader in Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, Eric Wittner literally works at the cutting-edge of GIS technology.
 
A senior member of the Esri 3D software development team, Eric has spent the past six years pushing the limits of the GIS technology to develop new 3D simulation and visualisation products and capabilities. Eric is also one of the world’s leading authorities in GeoDesign – the concept of using GIS technology to generate simulations that show the impacts potential designs will have on communities. He is a specialist in developing applications, workflows, and methodologies for conducting design and analysis in the built environment.
 
Peter Becker: Peter Becker is the Imagery Manager at world-leading Geographic Information System (GIS) developer, Esri. With a career spanning the United States, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Peter has forged a reputation as one of the world’s preeminent authorities in imagery.
 
His career background includes serving as the Technical Manager for MAPS Geosystems in the UAE for 15 years, where he was instrumental in the development of image server technology that was later acquired by Esri.  For the past 4 years, he has spearheaded the imagery team at Esri.
 
Mark Cygan: As one of the world’s foremost authorities in spatial data, Mark Cygan heads up the map, chart, data production, and SDI (MAPS) team at Esri.
 
With a background in cartography and more than 25 years of spatial industry experience, Mark is the chair of the Joint Board of Geospatial Information Societies and participates in many other international GIS organisations.
