Infoterra More Map

By on 31 May, 2010

EADS Astrium subsidiary Infoterra has launched More Map, a national mapping content service for Great Britain.

The service allows users to map buildings, roads, boundaries and model terrain, vegetation and building height information. There is also a function to magnify imagery, and to add interpretation, intelligence and statistics.

The company says it has developed vector extraction algorithms to produce buildings and other vectors from OS OpenData.

"We have initially processed building and road vectors for the whole of Leicestershire County. We are making a sample available in order to obtain feedback from our customers, ahead of processing all of Great Britain,” said Andy Wells, director of government services at Infoterra.
