Infotech hires Greg Oaten for utility role

Geospatial firm Infotech Enterprises has hired Greg Oaten as strategy advisor for utilities.

Oaten will play a strategic role in developing Infotech’s products  in areas such as smart grid and power engineering for its customers in the APAC region.

Before joining Infotech, Mr Oaten was working as executive manager for network revenue operations at Energy Australia.

He was responsible for network billing, network installation data, meter data management and operations, meter reading and smart meter initiatives.

In his earlier assignment he was responsible for the capture, maintenance and continual improvement of key data sets of Energy Australia’s network and retail operations.

He also served as the president of the Geospatial Information and Technology Association (GITA) Australia & New Zealand in 2009 and as a director for five years.
