As a result of a selection process conducted by Google Australia in February/March, Dialog Information Technology has been selected from amongst the ANZ Premier Partners to manage the renewals process for the Online Google Earth Pro licensing across Australia and New Zealand.
The idea was to move the online renewals to a leading channel partner to provide a local point of contact for customers, a choice in purchasing options (Purchase Order or Credit Card) in local currencies, and to provide assistance for customers to consolidate their licensing, and proactive cross-selling into other Google Geospatial Solutions.
Google Australia’s Enterprise channel manager, Eric Johnsen, is heading the initiative with a view to expand the model into the Asia Pacific region initially, and eventually Globally. “Google is expanding its focus towards its Enterprise Geospatial products this year, and this renewals initiative was seen as a great opportunity to manage growth”, said Mr Johnsen.
Dialog was selected due to its significant exposure and presence in the Australian Market and its capabilities in licensing services and offerings. Dialog’s presence on many procurement panels and standing offer arrangements across the ANZ Corporate and Public Sectors, and its ability to transact against complex contractual requirements provides for the broad procurement needs of many Australian and New Zealand organisations. As part of the model, Dialog will also provide customers with a licensing provisioning service.
National Practice Manager for Google Enterprise, Glenn Irvine, stated that customers will now have increased service, with local support options, and the ability to talk to a support team in the ANZ time zones, with no loss of the responsiveness provided by the online service.
Existing customers will receive notices of the changes to their renewals process via emails from Google and Dialog over the next few weeks. Customers can purchase GE Pro via the Dialog Google Enterprise website at: www.dialog-ge.com/store.
