PNT professionals from around the world are being invited to join hundreds of other local and global experts who will gather in Sydney, Australia, from 4 to 6 February for the PNT2026 conference and expo.

The conference will be a forum for professionals to highlight, advance and debate the many issues facing the world’s vital positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) sector.

Our entire modern society depends upon PNT systems — everything from individuals using GPS on their mobile phones, to home deliveries, emergency and disaster response, military operations, all kinds of communications and computer systems, and countless more applications.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the world’s PNT experts to Sydney for the PNT2026 conference” said Associate Professor Craig Roberts, Deputy Secretary of the Australian Institute of Navigation and Secretary of its PNT Sub-Committee.

“I encourage everyone with an interest in this field to register today and come to Sydney in February to take part in the vital discussions and information exchanges the conference will provide.

“PNT is a rapidly changing field, and it is vital that local and international professionals have the chance to meet face to face to debate current challenges and those still to come.”

Headlining the conference will be keynote addresses from senior local and overseas figures:

  • Lieutenant General Susan Coyle AM CSC DSM, Chief of Joint Capabilities, Australian Defence Force
  • Professor Zak Kassas, TRC Endowed Chair in Intelligent Transportation Systems, The Ohio State University
  • David Ball, Regional Director Australia New Zealand, Lockheed Martin Space
  • Chris Shaw, CEO and co-founder, Advanced Navigation
  • Dr Alison Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer, NAVSYS Corporation

The program will cover a wide range of subjects, such as resilient PNT systems, alternative PNT sources, quantum navigation, autonomous systems, lunar navigation, PNT’s role in defence, timing systems and more.

PNT2026 will also feature an expo area, with the all the latest PNT technologies on show. Limited sponsorship and expo slots remain; interested parties should reach out to the conference organiser via events@ain.org.au or events@bmconferences.com.au.

Social events will include a traditional Aussie barbeque, networking drinks and a not-to-be-missed Sydney Harbour cruise.

A range of registration options is available, from single days to the full conference, as well as reduced-rate student registration.
