DigitalGlobe and GIS People

Australian geospatial consultancy GIS People has officially announced a formal business partnership with earth observation company DigitalGlobe.

GIS People sees this partnership as an exciting enhancement of their ability to provide the best service to clients: “Our clients often come to us with business challenges that require advanced image analysis, such as automated or supervised feature extraction,” says GIS People’s managing director, Igor Stjepanovic. “The new partnership with DigitalGlobe will enable our Remote Sensing department to rapidly acquire the best data available for the job. The capability to quickly extract information from pixel-based data is hugely useful in a number of industries that we operate in including oil and gas, infrastructure, finance, property, transport, environment, and many more. We look forward to growing our partnership with DigitalGlobe and delivering world-class solutions based on Geoanalytics to our clients.”

Takayuki Odawara, DigitalGlobe’s vice president of Asia-Pacific commercial sales added: “DigitalGlobe is pleased to work with GIS People to bring the highest quality geospatial data and information products to the Australian market.”
