The student and teacher finalists of the She Maps Geospatial in Schools Awards have been announced, with the winners to be announced at the Locate conference in Sydney in May.

The Awards, which are endorsed and supported by the Geospatial Council of Australia (GCA) and The Surveyors’ Trust, celebrate excellence in geospatial teaching and learning as well as involvement in school and community geospatial events and activities.

The finalists are as follows:

Award recipients will win a visit to the Locate conference, a travel and accommodation subsidy, a full-Day Two access pass and an invitation to the exclusive industry gala dinner. The student award recipient will receive a Locate registration and travel subsidy for an adult chaperone.

GCA will host the award recipients for a tour of the exhibition, providing an opportunity to make valuable industry connections, see the latest geospatial technologies and learn about innovations in geospatial science. Each Teacher Award recipient will receive a She Maps membership for one year.
