Garmin Nuvi 3700

By on 13 May, 2010

Garmin International has released the nüvi 3700 series of GPS devices.

With a thickness of less than 9mm, it is the thinnest portable navigator on the market, says Garmin. A new multi-touch display allows users to zoom in and out by double-tapping or “pinching” the map. Dragging a finger enables browsing across the map. The perspective can be changed from 2D to 3D, or the map can be rotated 360 degrees.

Navigation features include a customisable “wake-up phrase” to initiate voice-activated navigation. A TrafficTrends function uses historical traffic data and recurring trends to recommends routes at any given time or day. Other features include clearer voice prompts, and a speed limit indicator for most major roads.
