A new series of FARO 3D User Conferences will be hitting five countries across Asia Pacific, including Australia.
Continuing from last year’s inaugural 3D Documentation Conference held in Singapore, the 2014 conferences will be held between July and December, in five different countries across Asia Pacific – Australia, China, India, Indonesia, and Thailand.
“The success of last year’s conference prompted the return of the event, albeit in a slightly different format,” shared Joseph Arezone, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, FARO Asia Pacific. “In response to the strong interest from the industry, and coupled with our desire to connect with more users, we decided to bring the conference to various locales instead. With more dates and locations to choose from, a larger group of the 3D User Community in the region can benefit from the vibrant discussions at these exclusive knowledge-exchange platforms.”
3D documentation professionals and practitioners from various fields across the region will gather together to share, learn, and network. Participants can expect to benefit from sharing sessions chaired by industry experts from around the world, as well as end-user presentations from across the fields.
The event will cover topics that relate to the segments of Aerospace, Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC), Automotive, Energy and Natural Resources, Entertainment, Heritage, Law Enforcement, Process Power and Piping, and Shipping.
This conference will be an avenue where all stakeholders related to 3D documentation come together to collaborate and expand the market.
With partners’ and delegate’s active participation and support, FARO hopes that this series of 3D User Conferences will encourage more cross-vertical interactions amongst 3D laser scanning communities. Consequently, these networking opportunities should lead to industry integration and cooperation, realising the conference theme of ‘Connecting 3D Communities’.
The Australian FARO 3D User Conference is scheduled for 21 October 2014, and will be held in Sydney. Further details will be announced soon.
