The organisers of the premier regional geospatial event in Australasia have announced an early bird discount offer, allowing participants to save up to $325 off the standard ticket price.
The combined Locate 18 – Geosmart Asia 18 event in April is shaping up to be massive, with a new cadre of speakers joining their previously announced speakers and keynotes.
The first round of keynotes will be handled by Space Fleet CEO Flavia Tata Nardini; Ed Parsons, Chief Geospatial Technologist at Google UK and Cy Smith, Chief Geography Officer for the State of Oregon.
Newly added to the speakers’ lineup are Neil Coffee, Associate Professor, Centre for Health and Action in Public Health at the UC Health Research Institute (University of Canberra); Rebecca De Cicco, Director of Digital Node UK; Maher Abdel Karim, Project manager at the Public Authority for Civil Information, Kuwait; and Professor Elanor Huntington, Dean of the Australian National University.
The event has recently welcomed OmniLink as a new exhibitor, joining 1Spatial, 21AT, Faro, Nearmap, Pitney Bowes, Riegl and Vexcel Imaging.
Besides ample networking opportunities and the opportunity to understand key achievements and future directions of industry leaders in the region, participants will have the chance to experience some of the local treasures that Adelaide has to offer, with field trips to Penfold Winery’s Magill Estate, the South Australian Health Medical Research Institute and the Tonsley Innovation District, the epicentre of the state’s burgeoning tech, business and research community.
