Winners at the Western Australia APSEA awards.

The West Australian Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards took place in Perth last week, honouring three collaborations and six individals.

SIBA|GITA CEO Deanna Hutchison commended the collaborative projects awarded at the gala.

“West Australian collaborative projects took home three of the six gongs for 2017 at the top-level Oceania event in April,” she said.

“The calibre of these winning projects indicates we might see a repeat performance!”

The People and Community category was dominated by Community Insight Australia with their web platform that converts complex spreadsheets into easily interpretable maps. The tool allows those with quantitative backgrounds to design new services for social purpose organisations.
