The Country Surveyors Association of NSW Easter Conference 2023 will be held at the Novotel Sydney Central in Haymarket, Sydney, on 23 and 24 March 2023.
The annual conference is well attended by many surveyors, both members and non-members of the Association. Over the past 40 years have been held as far west as Broken Hill and Deniliquin, north to Armidale and Port Macquarie, south to Albury and Wagga Wagga and more centrally at places like Orange, Katoomba, Gosford and Nowra. These family orientated events have led to many enduring friendships across the whole of New South Wales.
The Space & Geospatial Collaborative Workshop is being jointly hosted by the Andy Thomas Space Foundation and SSSI in Adelaide on 10 May 2023, in between the first 2023 Australian Space Forum and the Locate23 Conference.
This inter-disciplinary workshop will provide an opportunity for professionals from both space and spatial sectors to connect and discuss the increasing synergy and collaborative opportunities that have resulted from Australia’s renewed commitment to space technology development and the requirements and capabilities of the modern spatial information industry. The spatial professional has been an enduring end-user of space applications such as PNT (positioning, navigation and timing), EO (Earth observation) and telecommunications.
The International Cartographic Association (ICA) invites you to share your research, practice and experiences in cartography and GIScience at the 31st International Cartographic Conference (ICC 2023), to be held from 13 to 18 August 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The conference theme will be ‘Smart Cartography for Sustainable Development’.

After a very successful GeoBuiz Europe Summit in 2022, the summit, in its 2023 edition, will facilitate interactions, market engagement, and collaborations among the leaders representing the space infrastructure and geospatial value chain.
The discussions at the summit will highlight the market trends and innovation directions for co-developing an agile and long-withstanding business ecosystem.
The Geospatial Council of Australia’s Western Australia Digital Twin Summit will be held on 15 November 2023.
The event will focus on Spatial Digital Twins, and attendees will hear the latest developments in this rapidly developing space from government, academia and private industry presenters.
The WA Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards dinner will also be held in conjunction with the conference, celebrating the outstanding work being undertaken across the region.

The Institution of Surveyors NSW (ISNSW) 2024 Annual Conference will be held over two days in February in the picturesque Blue Mountains, NSW.
Presented as a hybrid event, attendees will have the choice to join online or in person. Speakers will present on a wide range of topics, giving delegates the chance to hear from the industry’s best and network with them.
The event is open to ISNSW members as well as non-members.
The 2024 annual conference of the Association of Public Authority Surveyors, NSW (APAS) will be held at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra, from 18 to 20 March 2024. The theme of the conference will be ‘Pushing the Boundaries’.
The Call for Abstracts is now open, with the following deadlines set:
- Abstract submission deadline: Friday, 22 September 2023
- Draft paper deadline: Friday, 17 November 2023
- Final paper deadline: Friday, 19 January 2024
The 9th International Conference on Cartography and GIS will take place in Nessebar, Bulgaria from 16 to 21 June 2024. The ICCGIS is a biannual conference that began in 2006 and has been held every two years since (except for 2020). In total, the Conference has attracted attendees from more than 60 countries and has published more than 700 scientific papers in its proceedings.
The aim of the conference is to collect knowledge and share experiences about the latest achievements in the field of cartography and GIS. Multiple parallel events will take place during the conference, including annual meetings of ICA commissions and a special ISDE plenary session. There will also be a Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction – Solutions and Innovations.
In 2024, the International GNSS Service (IGS) will celebrate 30 years of operational service, having commenced on 1 January 1994.
The University of Bern together with the partners from the CODE consortium — AIUB: Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern; swisstopo: Swiss Federal Office of Topography; BKG: Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, Germany; IAPG/TUM: Institute for Astronomical and Physical Geodesy, Technical University of Munich — invites the GNSS community to celebrate the IGS’ third decade with a symposium and workshop in Bern, Switzerland.
The in-person event is planned for the week from 1 to 5 July in 2024 and will take place in two parts: symposium (1-4 July) and workshop (4-5 July).
The IGS is a service of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), its Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS), The International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), and a network member of the International Science Council (ISC) World Data System (WDS).
The 2024 NSW Geospatial Excellence Awards will recognise individuals, teams and organisations that have made significant contributions to the field of geospatial technology and applications.
The awards highlight excellence in various categories, including research, project implementation and technological advancements.
