Locate22 returns to the Nation’s Capital in the traditional format of a live event at the National Convention Centre Canberra (NCCC). With the ability to be COVID safe, within a socially distanced environment, the NCCC is the perfect venue for Australia’s premier spatial and surveying conference. Canberra brings an incomparable setting with iconic national attractions surrounding Lake Burley Griffin and the Parliamentary Triangle.
This year Locate22 will incorporate dedicated streams into the format of the conference. This will enable focused discussion from across industry sectors on how location technologies and practices are being used, highlighting the fundamental role they play in shaping Australia’s future.
Industry, government, non-profit and academics are demanding new opportunities for innovation, efficiency and improved responsiveness, particularly in location-based information. In the past year alone, we’ve seen how location information can provide societal, environmental and economic benefits to our communities. LOCATE 22
The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) will hold its 2022 congress in Nice, France, in June 2022. The event will be hosted by the French Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
A wide-ranging program has been put together, and it includes a host of leading speakers, such as Australia’s Professor Sisi Zlatanova from the University of South Wales. More than 1500 papers will be presented in the various scientific tracks and sessions over the week. In addition to these presentations, participants will also have the chance to interact and network face-to-face with the authors in poster sessions.
In order to help the registered participants to choose the sessions and the presentations to build their own program during the week, pre-recorded video presentations of the papers will made accessible before the beginning of the event through the digital platform of this event.
The Congress will have a strong technology track, with a large exhibition space that will gather the major players of the geospatial business. A geospatial prospective forum will also address hot topics of our community in order to draw recommendations.
The deadline for both full papers and abstracts is January 10, 2022.
The IGNSS Association’s biennial international GNSS conference will return to UNSW Sydney from 7 to 9 February, 2024, where it will celebrate the first half-century of GNSS and look ahead to the next 50 years.
IGNSS 2024 will bring together experts, policy makers and emerging leaders from across the globe to examine the latest advances, present cutting edge research and discuss policy, market development and infrastructure.

The Wavelength meeting was launched in 2013 for PhD students and early career researchers, addressing the demand for representation of new professionals as well as students from RSPSoc — the UK society for remote sensing and photogrammetry science.
Every year, Wavelength gathers participants from student and early career levels, as well as senior members and individuals within academia and business. The conference offers a setting to present student and EC work and meet new, like-minded contacts.
The 2024 conference will be run in a hybrid format, to accommodate those who can and those who cannot travel to Worcester.

The 4th International Symposium on Applied Geoinformatics (ISAG2024), which will take place at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland, on 9 and 10 May 2024. ISAG2024 is jointly organised by the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul, Türkiye, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Wroclaw, Poland and Technical University of Crete, Chania, Crete, Greece.
The aim of the 4th ISAG is to bring scientists, engineers and industry researchers together to exchange and share their experiences and research results and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in geoinformatics.
Topics to be covered include recent advances in AI, satellite imagery, advanced remote sensing, photogrammetry, image processing, global navigation satellite systems, height systems, terrestrial laser scanning, GIS, smart cities and land management.
The ISPRS Technical Commission II ‘Photogrammetry’ focuses, at various scales, on geometric, radiometric and multi-temporal aspects of the image- and range-based 3D surveying, mapping and modelling in the age of AI and mixed reality.
The organisers of the June 2024 Symposium welcome researchers, practitioners and companies involved in photogrammetry and computer vision to present and discuss their results with a broader audience. The Symposium will feature four days of plenary and keynote talks, along with parallel sessions of oral and poster presentations from academia and industry.
The symposium’s theme is ‘The Role of Photogrammetry for a Sustainable World,’ emphasising machine learning and mixed reality. The event is being organised in collaboration with ASPRS (American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) and SGPF (Swiss Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing).

In 2024, the International GNSS Service (IGS) will celebrate 30 years of operational service, having commenced on 1 January 1994.
The University of Bern together with the partners from the CODE consortium — AIUB: Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern; swisstopo: Swiss Federal Office of Topography; BKG: Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, Germany; IAPG/TUM: Institute for Astronomical and Physical Geodesy, Technical University of Munich — invites the GNSS community to celebrate the IGS’ third decade with a symposium and workshop in Bern, Switzerland.
The in-person event is planned for the week from 1 to 5 July in 2024 and will take place in two parts: symposium (1-4 July) and workshop (4-5 July).
The IGS is a service of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), its Global Geodetic Observing System (GGOS), The International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), and a network member of the International Science Council (ISC) World Data System (WDS).
The Philippines will host the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Technical Commission V (TC V) Symposium with the theme, ‘Insight to Foresight via Geospatial Technologies,’ from 6 to 8 August 2024 in Manila.
The three-day event will feature plenary and parallel sessions, exhibits, poster presentations and business meetings, and aims to inspire new methods of teaching/learning, collaboration, and promotion of accessible and easy-to-use geospatial data among engage professionals, educators and tertiary students.
ISPRS TC V focuses on the capacity building of professionals, educators and students, and in developing cost-effective teaching methods. These include distance learning programs, international collaborations on sharing web-based resources, and curricula development that meets regional needs.

The 9th International Colloquium on Scientific and Fundamental Aspects of GNSS will bring together members of the European scientific community and their international partners involved in the use of Galileo and other GNSS in their research.
The colloquium will address several major areas of research:
- Scientific applications in meteorology, geodesy, geodynamics, geophysics, space physics, oceanography, land surface and ecosystem studies.
- Scientific developments in physics with a potential impact on future GNSS, particularly in testing fundamental laws of physics.
- Aspects of metrology such as reference frames, on board and ground clocks, precise orbit determination and time and frequency transfer.
- Scientific aspects of satellite navigation, positioning and its applications.
- Other topics of interest such as big data, IoT, novel disruptive technologies, Cubesats, HAPS, UAVs and autonomous vehicles.
- Systems and technologies for navigation in space.
