C.R. Kennedy will be holding a national ‘Modern Methods of Construction Roadshow’ throughout late-February, March and April 2024, highlighting the ways in which the latest software, tools and technology are enabling businesses to streamline their operations.

Attendees will be treated to:

  • A presentation on managing digital data workflow using BricsCAD, and the Leica iCON Total Station for efficient construction set out.
  • A case study from a company using Leica technology.
  • Information from Leica on some of the latest technologies in high-definition 3D laser scanning for accurate reality capture.
  • Details of the latest underground detection technologies, such as locators and ground penetrating radar.
  • Presentations on the latest in rotating lasers and handheld laser distance measurers (Leica distos) for quick and easy measurements.
  • A look at how BricsCAD software can be used with each of these technologies to help bring all data and projects seamlessly together.

Time will be set aside for discussion, and demonstrations of each of the products will be made after the presentations.

FOSS4G Perth is a local, community-driven gathering of the Perth open geospatial community, focused on sharing news of developments in free and open-source software for geospatial applications.

The event will be an opportunity to share ideas about open-source tools, such as QGIS, PostGIS, OpenStreetMap, Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, Python-based Earth observation libraries and frameworks, GDAL, and many others.

This year’s event will be held in conjunction with the ISPRS Technical Commission IV Symposium.

The 2024 Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial Conference (FOSS4G) will be held in Belém, Brazil, located in the heart of the Amazon.

FOSS4G, an annual event organised by the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) since 2006, is one of the largest global meetings on geospatial software of the year.

The local organising committee will be comprised of passionate Brazilians experienced in OSGeo technologies, along with the Geoinquietos Argentina team.

The Geo Connect Asia Show and Conference has scaled up from its launch in 2020 to become the regional meeting place for the fast expanding geospatial, positioning, digital construction and remote sensing markets.

With the growing application of geospatial based knowhow in decision-making across government, enterprise and non-profit the annual event comprises a show with a mix of thought leadership and technical platforms.

Last year’s event attracted more than 100 leading companies and 2494 visitors. Its co-location with Drones & Uncrewed Asia both presents the global UAV industries, but also addresses the importance of data acquisition and analytics in critical and emerging vertical markets.

Digital Construction Asia adds particular focus on the development of one of the region’s largest industries.

The Open Geospatial Consortium’s (OGC) 132nd Member Meeting will be held from June 9 to 12, 2025, at the Holiday Inn Mérida in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.

The event will feature several tracks on a variety of topics, especially innovation in geospatial interoperability.

The program will highlight how remote sensing technologies such as synthetic aperture radar, LiDAR and hyperspectral sensing are contributing to societal, economic, security, and disaster response scenarios.

The program will also explore how digital transformation is improving land administration and building information management.
