Klau Geomatics has released a new LiDAR-based bulk materials management system called Stockpiler, intended for use in the shipping and handling of bulk dry products such as minerals or grain, particularly those stored in sheds.

The Stockpiler array of fixed LiDAR scanners, calibrated and centrally controlled, can capture and process accurate bulk materials volume data in minutes.

It overcomes the limitations of traditional methods, such as indoor drone operations or terrestrial scanning.

Shipping operators can schedule scans or initiate a scan of bulk materials on demand, giving them the data they need to make critical logistics decisions.
