Aptella has signed an agreement with Sphere Drones’ to distribute its HubX mobile payload platform for autonomous scanning and mapping operations.

The target markets include the resources, mining, construction and emergency services sectors.

“Our team is focused on sourcing and deploying best-in-breed innovation from around the world for our customers,” says Martin Nix, Aptella CEO.

“It is an honour to partner with an Australian-based development team and collaborate with Sphere Drones to bring this unique, full-service HubX solution to our customers.”

HubX is described as a mobile solution designed for Drone-in-a-Box (DiaB) operations, suitable for hard-to-access locations. It’s configurable payload bay enables the user to mix and match payloads. When coupled with DJI’s Dock 2, HubX is said to simplify DiaB operations, enabling pilots to be flying within 30 minutes from arriving on site.

To obviate the complex and time-consuming process of gaining remote operations centre (ReOC) certification, HubX offers a managed service offering, enabling customers to deploy the platform immediately.

“We are thrilled and excited to announce our partnership with Aptella,” says Paris Cockinos, Sphere Drones CEO.

“We look forward to delivering HubX to untapped key verticals, including civil construction, and expanding our presence in the global market.”
