Allied Events

spatial@gov® is firmly established as one of the most important events on the Australia spatial industry calendar. A key feature of the spatial@gov® event is to provide a platform to bring people together. This year a number of important groups in the Australian and New Zealand spatial communities will be holding meetings in conjunction with the event.

The inaugural face-to-face meeting of the recently established Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Forum for Australia and New Zealand will take place in Canberra on Monday 19 November. OGC is a major international standards consortium of more than 465 companies, government agencies, research organisations, and universities participating in a consensus process to develop publicly available geospatial standards.

The Office of Spatial Policy is holding an Industry Brief on 20 November. Office of Spatial Policy General Manger, Helen Owens will provide an update on the Australia Government Location Information Strategic Framework; and will be available along with the CEO of PSMA Australia, Dan Paull, following the brief.

Other allied events being held in conjunction with spatial@gov® include:
• Geoscience Australia is hosting an OGRE Procurement Panel User Information Session (20 November)
• Spatial Industries Business Association AGM and Board Meeting hosted by the Spatial Industries Business Association (20 November)
• ANZLIC Contact Officers Meeting hosted by ANZLIC—the Spatial Information Council (20 November)

The Organising Committee welcomes all meeting participants to Canberra and spatial@gov
