Adrian Turner to speak at Locate22

Adrian Turner will speak at the Locate22 conference.

Leading Australian technology entrepreneur, Adrian Turner, has been confirmed as a speaker for the Locate22 conference in Canberra in May.

Turner spent 18 years in Silicon Valley building businesses before returning to Australia in 2015. He was the founding CEO at CSIRO’s Data61, and led the development of the national AI roadmap, AI ethics framework and many other projects.

Most recently Turner was appointed deputy chair of Prezzee, a payments company dubbed the newest $1 billion tech ‘unicorn’.

Importantly, he also heads the Minderoo Foundation’s Fire and Flood Resilience Initiative.

Turner will present at Locate22 on the topic ‘Emergency and disaster response’ on Thursday, 26 May. Given all that has been happening lately with fires and floods — and the role that surveying, spatial and space have to play in this field — this will be a not-to-be-missed presentation.

Visit the Locate website for full details of all speakers, presentations, workshops and other activities, and for registration details.
