There is less than one week remaining until SSSC 2013 kicks off in Canberra.

SSSC2013 aims to provide a balance of practical and technical workshops and conference sessions, arming attendees with a “take away” kit of new ideas, techniques and tricks.  The program is complimented by the extensive exhibition showcasing our industry’s leaders.

All five Commissions will be represented!

The SSSC Conference Series is unique in that it attempts to cover topics of immediate importance to the surveying and spatial industry including: land surveying, engineering & mining surveying, cartography, hydrography, remote sensing and GIS and spatial information.

LiDAR and UAV separately and as a combined force, loom large in the program.  Next Generation Datum – its impact and its benefits to our industry will be the subject of learned discussion and debate.  Case studies will reveal the importance of GIS Analysis & Mapping in the planning and implementation of diverse programs from health budgets, water management to emergency recovery.  Great advancements in mapping, modelling, the Cloud, Web and Mobile Apps will be highlighted to support the conference’s “take away” aim.
