Queensland’s Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) has published satellite imagery of the state at 2.4-metre resolution.
The mosaic is now openly available to the public under a Creative Commons under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence (CC BY-SA 4.0).
The imagery was acquired from Planet Labs CubeSats under the Queensland government’s QSat initiative.
The product covers the entire state in high resolution, general reference imagery, derived from the best captures between July and September 2017.
Around 102,000 5×5-kilometre tiles can be viewed and downloaded. Metadata web service end points for the imagery are available via the Queensland spatial catalogue (QSpatial), the tiles can be found and viewed at Queensland Globe, and can be downloaded at QImagery individually.
