NSW planning viewer

An online Planning Viewer, built using Google Maps Engine, has been launched by the NSW Department of Planning & Environment.

The Planning Viewer provides public access to the map layers for certain planning maps incorporated by reference in environmental planning instruments made under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. It enables users to search, navigate, and view the map layers from a web browser, and with a familiar interface.

The Viewer is an initiative of the New South Wales Government and is designed to help people better understand map-based planning information. The service is maintained by the Department of Planning and Environment.

The Viewer is available now, in beta stage.
