The University of Southern Queensland and Bennett + Bennett have announced a Women in Surveying Scholarship for 2025.

The aim of the scholarship is to support a female student commencing their studies in UniSQ’s Bachelor of Surveying Technology or Bachelor of Surveying (Honours) programs.

The newly established scholarship has been founded through a gift from Bennett + Bennett and will have a maximum value of $4,000 to be paid in a single instalment.

According to Bennett + Bennett, “Our mission is simple yet profound: to champion gender diversity and empower women in the field of surveying.”

In a post on its website, the company says that it “recognises the importance of fostering inclusivity and equality within the surveying industry”.

“Historically, women have been under-represented in this field, facing barriers to entry and advancement. We believe it’s time to change that narrative and create a more inclusive environment where all individuals have equal opportunities to thrive.”

Eligibility conditions and selection criteria can found be on the UniSQ scholarship website.

The deadline for applications is 11:59pm (AEST) on Monday, 18 November 2024.
