Victorian State of Play ½ day and VSEA dinner

Next week’s Victorian State of Play ½ day will conincide with the 2015 Victorian Spatial Excellence Awards (VSEA) Dinner on 11 September in Melbourne.

The State of Play ½ day aims to be a celebration of spatial and a showcase of how spatial now effects everything performed in business and will feature a range of discussions at RMIT. The discussions will be led by Peter Seamer, CEO of Metropolitan Planning Authority, which has a busy planning and infrastructure coordination program as it works to protect and enhance Melbourne’s world renowned liveability as the city grows. Seamer will ask the question ‘How can we protect and enhance Melbourne’s world renowned liveability as the city grows?’ His answer will focus on planning to deliver business and jobs growth, housing quality and affordability, and well-designed public spaces.

Other speakers will include:

  • Trevor Brunton, NBN’s Executive General Manager of Operational Planning and Performance
  • Karl Sullivan, General Manager Risk, Insurance Council of Australia
  • Yvonne Lynch, City of Melbourne Team Leader Future Melbourne, City Strategy & Place

In the eveing following the Victorian State of Play ½ day, the Victorian Spatial Excellence Awards (VSEA) will be held at the stunning Plaza Ballroom in central Melbourne.

The VSEA is a night where organisations and individuals are acknowledged for their contributions to the industry, government and the community for the promotion of spatial information, technology and services.
